About Us:
We are a jewellery company based in the North West of the UK. Fifteen years ago we decided to move into manufacturing, and purchased another manufacturing plant which came with the skill and expertise of the principal. The core machine purchased was induction heated, revolutionary at the time, and capable of producing 1 Kilo of gold every 4 minutes in an inert blanket gas to prevent porosity and produce a high quality product. We produced a wide range of products selling direct to shops and to the public through magazines such as 'Vogue' and 'Country Life'.
Since then we have improved our range extensively and have become one of the largest single outlet jewellery retailers in the UK. We have added to our gold range, high quality gold jewellery, designed and manufactured in Italy and encourage you to buy gold on a per gram basis, in the same way that manufacturers sell to jewellery shops in the UK.
Our diamond range now includes diamond jewellery manufactured in the UK and we import certified loose diamonds direct from the major cutting centres of the world such as Antwerp and Israel. Our Antique jewellery buyer has almost 40 years of trade experience and brings you the very best in styles and variety, including antique, pre owned, and vintage jewellery. Our aim is to sell high quality, high volume with small profits, and offer a first class service. We hope you will enjoy your experience and welcome ANY comments as we are always looking for ways to improve our site.
Thank you for shopping with us.

Site map:
The catalogue comprises four sections.

Gold: comprising Italian and British chain, bracelets, earrings, rings, and any specials we may have purchased in quantity.
Diamond Set: comprising diamond set jewellery from solitaire diamond rings to diamond pendants and diamond earrings.
Diamond: comprising loose certified diamonds which can be purchased individually or set into ring, pendants or earrings.
Antique: comprising mainly antique, hand made, and vintage jewellery, but also any special items that are limited in quantity.

The four sections are independent of one another. This is to make access and searches as fast as possible, but you may change from section to section and put things in to your basket as you go. We have written the bookmark/wish list ticks to work in which ever section you are in automatically, so if you are in the gold section the tags will access your gold database, and if you are in the diamond section the diamond database etc. It sounds complicated but you will understand when you try them out.

By clicking on an image you are transported to a separate page with more details of the item on which you clicked. If you press the buy button the item is added to your basket. It can be removed at any time by selecting the 'view basket' buttons found at the top left and left toolbar bottom sections. Here you may change quantity of items (except in the antique and diamond sections when we will have one only ) and if you wish, proceed to purchase the contents via a secure 128 bit encrypted connection.

Price Promise:
If you purchase jewellery from us and find the same product elsewhere on the internet at a lower price than ours within 14 days , including special offers, we will beat it or refund your money. We have only ever had one price challenge and this turned out not to be valid. Not surprising really!

Pricing:
Yes our prices appear too good to be true!. However, we have minimal overheads, own our own buildings and workshops, have no overdraft to pay, and consequently don't need to charge you for these things.

How we calculate prices.

Prices from the Diamond Set, Antique and Loose Diamond sections are exact, and you should pay whatever the price was at the time of ordering.

Gold Section: Estimated Weights

Weights of products we send you may vary from those shown on this web site due to manufacturing tolerances. Prices charged on your invoice will be based on the actual weight of the products delivered to you. In the gold section the final price you pay will be based upon the gold price at the point at which you order, and the exact weight of the items you have selected. The weights quoted are estimated weights.
For example: if you select a curb bracelet at £7.05 per gram at a weight of 6.5 gms the cost will be:

7.05 x 6.5 = £45.83 which we calculate for you.
When your bracelet arrives it may weight 6.3 gms so you will be charged:
7.05 x 6.3 = £44.42
or it may weigh 6.7 gms and you would be charged:
7.05 x 6.7 = £47.24
but the gram price of 7.05 will be the same - same good value, whatever the weight.

This is the way that almost the entire wholesale jewellery trade operate, and the only way to operate effectively if you work on small margins. When a shop purchases gold from a wholesale jewellers, the goods are weighed and a price per gram paid, the same way that we charge you. UK gold prices are fixed twice a day and we often change prices to reflect this, so an item in which you were interested in the morning may be a different price in the afternoon.

Prices quoted are what you pay, there is NO additional Vat to calculate.

Loose diamond and gold prices are converted from dollars ( both diamonds & gold are still traded in US dollars ) and will fluctuate with the exchange rates. We may require payment by bankers draft/ transfer for some of the more expensive items.

Price per gram (ppg)
This is a calculation that allows us to compare how much we are paying for an item. If we wished to purchase a curb chain for instance that costs £100 and weighs 25 grams the cost per gram is 100 divided by 25 = 4 pounds per gram. We are paying £4 for every gram of gold. If another chain costs £200 and weighs 40 gms, the cost per gram is 200 divided by 40 = 5 pounds per gram. We are paying £5 for every gram of gold. The second chain is more expensive on a per gram price, and to be an equal bargain should cost £160 ( 40gms x 4 pounds per gram). We kindly work this out for you so you can compare our prices. If a shop will not tell you how much a chain weighs, there is usually a reason!. To calculate the price per gram then:

1: Find 2 similar products
2: Take the cost price
3: Divide this by the weight

The one with the lowest number is the better deal for identical products. ie 4 ppg is better than 5 ppg.

Quality:
In the Gold section we offer you the finest quality products, each fully compliant with the UK hallmarking quality laws. Each item carries our 9ct/0.375 stamp for 9ct or 18ct/0.750 stamp for 18 carat gold as tested by an independent government licensed Assay Office. Many Antique items were never hallmarked, but we usually indicate this in the description. Diamond grades are the opinions of Northern Gemmological Laboratories Ltd unless otherwise stated and previously inspected by an alternate laboratory.

Guarantee:
All items are subject to our 14 day no quibble money back guarantee, except for gold earrings (diamond earrings will be covered), body jewellery, boxes and wrapping. Returns:
Additionally all our jewellery is guaranteed against manufacturing defects for 1 year subject to the usual terms of misuse and unreasonable wear.

Delivery:
We aim to dispatch 95% of goods ordered before 4.00 pm from the Gold and Antique section the same/next working day. Diamond goods take between 1 and 7 working days depending on stock levels.
All goods are sent by insured post which must be signed for at the card holders address. Delivery is UK only. It is up to the purchaser to ensure that they are at the address given at the expected time of delivery to receive the goods. Goods are insured only up to the point of signature at the designated address.
We don't pretend to offer 'free' delivery because there is no such thing as 'free' delivery, it is always built into the cost of each item. This means if you buy two items from a 'free' delivery company you have paid twice for delivery and if you buy 3 items you have paid 3 times for delivery. We charge just £4.95 P&P irrespective of how many items you purchase. It does not look as good, but we feel it is honest to be open about this, and it saves you money.
